Comment

A beautiful early Motown session from Marvin Gaye with a title that really hints at the open emotion of his later work! The set's one of a few that has Marvin singing standards and jazz tunes but it's done in a mellow late night way that really sparkles with a lot of soul. The setting's a nice contrast to the jauntiness of Marvin's early hits, and it's nice to hear him showing a different side of his range on tracks that include "I Wonder", "I'll Be Around", "Because Of You", "I Don't Know Why", "You've Changed", and "I Was Telling Her About You". The Cover is in fantastic shape considering the year... very minor ring wear can be seen at the bottom (barely) and theres a little wear at the seams, the vinyl is very clean but does have a couple of very light scratches..
