Registering & New Arrivals

Why you should Register ?
If you want to get my list and see all the new arrivals then you're gonna have to register !!! It takes one minutes, all I need from you is an email address and a password !!!

How do I know when you've Added New Stock ?
I'll send you an email with a link, click on it and you'll be at the 'New Arrivals' section !! If you want to be one of the first to see the 'New Arrivals' register now.

Ordering

How do I order records ?
When you find a record in the listings that you want to order click the Order Record button, this puts it into an Open Order. You can then return to looking through the lists, and add more records to your order if you wish. Once your vinyl hunger has been satisfied, you can click on the Cart link to return to your Order. All the records you have selected will then be displayed, with the total cost of the Order displayed at the bottom of the page. To place the order, click the Place Order button. The website checks then that it has your delivery address, and allows you to select a payment type. Once you have selected a payment option, click Continue. This takes you to the last page, where if you wish you can add a comment to the Order. Finally click Place Order again. It is really a very simple system as it walks you through the process...

How do I order more than one copy of a Record ?
The simplest way is to order the record as you would in the normal way, and when you get to the point where you can Add a comment to the order, click it and ask me for the quantity you require!!!

How do I Remove a Record from my Order ?
Click on the Cart link, then click the Remove From Order button under the record you mistakenly think you don't need !!!

What's an Open Order ?
If you have been ordering records while looking through the website, when you click on Cart you'll see an Open Order page with all the records you have ordered listed. You can continue looking through the lists, place the order, or come back to it later. Please keep in mind that the records are not reserved for you until you place the order !

How can I Pay for my Order ?



CREDIT CARD: VISA, MASTERCARD, DELTA, SOLO, ELECTRON, SWITCH, JCB.
I'll email you to let you know what details I need. At this point you can't enter the card details on the website, so send me them split between two emails.

INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS: In UK £STERLING and payable to STEVE CURA.

PERSONAL CHEQUES: From UK customers and payable to STEVE CURA.

CASH: Ideally in UK £STERLING in a registered letter at your risk.

TRADES: WHAT YOU GOT ???????

Can I Trade ?
I'm always happy to trade or buy good records. When you're placing your order please select TRADES as a payment option, then select Add Comment To Order on the next page and type in what you have available and condition. I'll let you know what trade value I can give you. Once we have agreed on a trade, send me the records you want to trade. When I have confirmed that I am happy with them, I'll send your new records.

How long will you Reserve Records for me ?
Once you've received an email from me confirming your order please try to pay as soon as possible !! If you need me to hold the records for a week or so before sending or making a payment please contact me to let me know. Generally Approved Orders are reserved for a short time until I receive your payment.

If you are paying by credit/debit card:
I need to receive your details within 3 days.

If you are sending payment by post:
UK - I need to receive your payment within 4 days.
Europe - I need to receive your payment within 8 days.
Rest of the World - I need to receive your payment within 12 days.

How do I know my Records are on their way ?
When you're Logged In, click on the History link. It will then show you all of your orders under one or more of three headings: New (an order you have placed that hasn't yet been confirmed), Approved (an order I've confirmed is available and I'm waiting for payment) and Closed (you have paid and the records are on their way !! Happy Days !!) If you click on any of orders under the three options they will open up.

How do you Ship Records and are they Insured ?
All records are carefully packaged and sent through services that require a signature and are INSURED unless otherwise agreed.

UK Customers:
Records are sent via Royal Mail ‘Signed For’ or ‘Special Delivery’ and carry insurance up to their full value if desired !

Overseas Customers:
Packages Under 2Kg will be sent via Royal Mail ‘International Signed For’ will be insured and require a signature on delivery !!

Other options for larger packages will be advised upon order confirmation.

Postage & Packing Charges ?

Once you place an order I will send you order confirmation with a CHOICE of Postage & Packaging charges, I weigh and calculate all packages on an individual basis and ONLY CHARGE the actual cost of Postage plus Packaging materials !

The Search Engine

What can the Search Feature do ?
The Search Feature can search for: Artist, Title, Label & Producer (when available) The more you type into the search box, the shorter the list of records will be. A search of this type will show records that are out of stock

Wants List

What's the 'Wants List' feature?
This feature allows you to add any records from the site to a private 'Wants List' You might want to do this for records you're not ready to order now It does not mean that you have ordered the records You can go back to that 'Wants List' anytime you're Logged In and order any of the records.

Can I add records to my 'Wants List' that are not on your Site ?
The good news is that soon you'll be able to add records directly from your keyboard !!! At the moment you can only add records that have been on the 'Site' or are currently 'In Stock'

How can I look at my 'Wants List' ?
Anytime you are 'Logged In' just Click on 'Wants List' and it takes you straight to your Private 'Wants List' !!!

I Ordered a Record but now its in my 'Wants List' ?
This may happen if you order a record that someone else has ordered just before you !! The record will automatically go into your wants list and when I get another copy you'll be contacted !!!

Can I take records off my 'Wants List' ?
When you're 'Logged In', go to your wants list and either order from the records listed there or 'Remove from Wants' You control your 'Wants List' !!!

How will I know you've found a Record from my 'Wants List'?
When I put records into stock the site tells me whether any are on your wants list You are then emailed and offered them exclusively for a 72 hour period !! PLEASE GET BACK TO ME QUICKLY WHETHER YOU WANT THEM OR NOT, THANKS...

Security

Are my Personal Details safe ?
YES !!
I do NOT store any of your credit card details on my PC or Web Server… I do not even keep a record of them on paper, once I have used your credit card details I shred the paperwork.

How do you Grade your Records ?
All the records are visually graded, some are listened to...
I grade in this order: vinyl/cover. Grading as follows...

sealed = Sealed copy (Dohh !!)

mint- = Vinyl, this can be a record that was opened by me or looks virtually Unplayed. Cover should be close to perfect, it may have a cut out or hole.

exc = Vinyl may have some surface marks that shouldn't affect play. Cover may have some wear, but nothing too bad.

I've decided keep it simple and have only 3 grades, if a record makes it to the website and is less than Exc you'll read about it in the description of the record !!!

Do you Buy Collections ?
YES PLEASE !!! I love to buy records and trade too. If you have a collection to sell, contact me and lets talk. If you want to trade for records on my website then go through the order process and select trade when you get to payment type, type in what you have, the condition and anything else you want to say, I'll let you know what I can give in trade.

Where's Backatcha ?
I do not have a shop, and although I’m not a recluse I don’t often have people visit to look at my stock ! That being said, I am based in London in Sunny England, visits are possible but only after speaking to me and forwarding on a CV !
